A Tehama County man has been sentenced to 22 years in prison for fatally stabbing a Red Bluff man last June.

Jessie Lee Robison, 36, was sentenced Monday afternoon for the death of 27-year-old Joshua Avery. Robison pleaded guilty to voluntary manslaughter last month.

The stabbing happened during a fight at the Mina Avenue Apartments off Gilmore Road.

Robison had a prior strike on his record, which doubled his sentence for the crime.
