Tax Day can be one of the most dreaded days on the calendar, but some businesses are offering freebies and deals to make the day less painful.
Take a look at some of the deals here:
McDonald's customers who buy one Big Mac or Quarter Pounder with Cheese can get another for only a penny.
Sonic is offering half-price cheeseburgers all day.
Burger King: Free Whopper with Purchase of Whopper.
KFC: FREE red velvet cake with the purchase of a 10-piece (or larger) family meal.
Pizza Hut is offering free pizza ... with a catch. You have to file a "P-2″ form, which asks you, among other questions, to calculate your "Net Pizza Consumption" and submit it for a chance to receive Pizza Hut gift cards in the amount of your net pizza return.
Outback Steakhouse: Celebrate the end of taxes with a steak dinner, with this coupon you get 15 percent off at checkout through May 3. Redeem yours here.
Office Depot: You should keep tax returns for at least three years. But if you have other paperwork cluttering your home, you can take advantage of free shredding services at all Office Depot and OfficeMax stores through April 25. Customers can print a coupon or show it to a store associate via a mobile device to shred up to two pounds of documents for free.
Royal Caribbean International: Book by April 15 and the cruise line will pay cruise taxes, port charges, and fees for vacationers who reserve cruises of six nights or longer to the Bahamas, the Caribbean, or round-trip to Europe. It adds up to a $200 savings, according to the company.
