Tattooed purse snatcher in Weaverville

Authorities in Trinity County are hoping a 'tattoo' will lead them to a purse snatcher.

On November 11, 2013 a Deputy from the Trinity County Sheriff's Office took a theft report of a purse from a vehicle in a Weaverville neighborhood. An ATM card from the stolen purse was used at Umpqua Bank in Weaverville the next morning.

Investigators from the Trinity County Sheriff's Office obtained video footage from the ATM at Umpqua Bank in Weaverville. The suspect had wrapped his face in what appears to be an ace bandage. There is a partial display of a tattoo on the back of his left hand.

Detectives at the Trinity County Sheriff's Office are requesting the public's assistance in locating the suspect.
