The U.S. Coast Guard has grounded operations of a popular Lake Tahoe cruise boat.
According to the Associated Press, Coast Guard spokeswoman Amanda Faulkner said Friday that a "no sail order" was imposed on the Tahoe Queen for mechanical difficulties unrelated to a New Year's Day incident involving it.
Coast Guard investigators are looking into whether the paddle wheeler ran aground or was stalled by high winds at the end of a cruise early Thursday.
Some 200 celebrants were stranded for about two hours in sub-freezing temperatures about 200 yards from its dock in South Lake Tahoe, California.
