The manhunt for a man accused of shooting and killing his girlfriend in Rackerby early Sunday morning is ongoing after a search of his Rio Linda home came up empty.

The Sacramento County Sheriff's Department and the Yuba County Sheriff’s Department served a high-risk search warrant at a home in the 6800 block of 9th Avenue in Rio Linda.

Authorities raided the home in hopes of locating 25-year-old Jonnyrae Witt, who is wanted in connection with the shooting death of his girlfriend, 31-year-old Leslie Cramblit.

The Yuba County Sheriff’s Department says Witt shot Cramblit around 4 a.m. near the Butte-Yuba County line, on Reed Lane, off of Robinson Mill Road in Rackerby. By the time deputies arrived on the scene Witt had fled the area.

Witt is approximately 5 feet 7 inches tall, 160 pounds and has brown hair with hazel eyes. Anyone with information about his whereabouts is urged to call the Yuba County Sheriff's Department.
