The 10th annual Sustainability Conference is underway at Chico State.
Around 1,800 people are expected to walk through the BMU doors Thursday and Friday, all of them hoping to learn how to build resilient communities, which is the theme of this year's fair.
Event Coordinator Alysa Kammermeyer says a resilient community is a community ready to handle a catastrophe, or anything that could create significant problems locally.
The entire fair is run and organized by Chico State students, and local schools are having young students present various sustainability ideas, with the best being given a ‘Greene Award'.
If you can't make it out to the conference Thursday, the event continues tomorrow at 9 a.m.
