Two people suspected in an Oroville woman’s death have been arrested in Wisconsin, the Butte County Sheriff’s Office said Tuesday.

William Henry Smith, 46, of Oroville and Julie Lynn Moss, 54, of Gridley, were arrested Sunday in the city of Wisconsin Rapids on suspicion of murdering 40-year-old Angela Murray in Oroville last month.

Murray’s body was found dumped in a field in south Oroville on November 10.

Following Murray’s death, investigators received tips that Smith and Moss may have been involved and learned the pair left for Wisconsin around the same time Murray’s body was found, according to sheriff’s spokeswoman Miranda Bowersox.

Both Smith and Moss are being held in Wisconsin without bail and are expected to be extradited back to California.
