A Red Bluff man released from jail early Thursday morning was arrested for crashing a stolen vehicle just hours later.
Red Bluff Police arrested 18-year-old Hunter Harris just before 10:30 a.m. Thursday after he allegedly stole a man's keys from a CVS counter, and then the matching vehicle from the parking lot.
An officer engaged Harris in a chase on Antelope Boulevard and then to Interstate 5. Harris exited at Wilcox Road.
Harris proceeded to Wilcox Golf Course where he rammed a fence and began traveling northbound through a field. He then abandoned the vehicle in a creek and was subdued and arrested by officers.
He was booked into Tehama County Jail for vehicle theft and felony evading.
