MONROEVILLE, Pa. (AP) - Pennsylvania authorities say they plan to charge a 17-year-old as an adult in the wounding of three people at a Pittsburgh-area mall.

Police say Tarod Thornhill opened fire in a Macy's store at the Monroeville Mall Saturday evening, then fled. Police say they identified the suspect by matching surveillance video with images on social media and arrested him early Sunday.

He was being held at the Allegheny County Jail pending arraignment on charges as an adult of aggravated assault, attempted homicide and recklessly endangering other people. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Feb. 18, according to court documents.

Police Chief Douglas Cole says two men and a woman were shot. He says one man was targeted and the other two victims were bystanders.

A spokesman at Forbes Hospital says a 20-year-old man and a 53-year-old man are both in critical condition, and a 47-year-old woman is in fair condition.
