A suspect is in custody after he allegedly stole a Butte County Sheriff's Office patrol cruiser in Oroville Monday night.
According to the Sheriff's Office the suspect used a rock to gain access to the vehicle around 7:30 p.m., and then led authorities with the Oroville Police Department, Butte County Sheriff's Office and California Highway Patrol on a half-hour high speed chase.
CHP Officers deployed spike strips to disable the vehicle, and the chase came to an end on Highway 99 just south of Live Oak.
