Suspect Hits Two Chico Locations in Armed Robbery

Chico Police are searching for a suspect in two overnight armed robberies.

The first robbery took place at the Money Saver gas station on Park Avenue at around 10:45 pm.

The store clerk told police the suspect pulled out a semi-automatic handgun, demanding money.

The clerk handed the money over and the suspect fled on foot eastbound 17th street.

Less than an hour later police got reports of another armed robbery at the Jackpot Food Mart on West 6th street.

The store clerk gave the same description of the suspect in the earlier robbery.

He is described as a black male adult, about 6'0" with a medium build.

He was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, black pants, and had a black backpack and mask.
