Suspect arrested following car chase through Paradise

Paradise Police were led on a chase through town by a suspect wanted on two felony warrants early Wednesday morning.

Officers located the suspect, Maurice Thomas Clark in his car behind La Comida on the Skyway, and learned he was wanted for felony evading and a probation violation.

Clark then proceeded to lead police on a nearly two mile chase on Skyway, Boquest Blvd, Foster Road, Oakwood Drive, Pearson Road, and Black Olive Drive.

The chase ended when Clark hit a curb, causing his vehicle to stall.

According to a press release from the Paradise Police Department Clark was carrying a dagger and a billy club.

Clark was booked into the Butte County Jail on his warrants and additionally was charged with misdemeanor evading, possession of a dagger and possession of a billy club.
