Firefighters continue to gain ground against the Lumpkin Fire burning in the foothills east of Lake Oroville. According to CalFire, the blaze that started Friday afternoon has grown to 350 acres, and is 20 percent contained, late Saturday. Evacuation warnings remain in effect for Ponderosa Way between Lower Forbestown Road and the Ponderosa Reservoir. CalFire says eight non-life threatening injuries have been reported. Saturday, crews were aided by three 'scooper' planes, which can drop 1,620 gallons of water at a time. Emergency vehicles are being used in the area, and residents are urged to use caution when sharing the road. Picture courtesy: Charlie Siegl
