Today was a mix of sun and clouds around the North State. Plenty of sun coming Tuesday, but wet weather will return late this week... and this weekend.
Monday started with sunshine, but clouds returned in the afternoon as a weak disturbance moved through, with a few isolated showers. Skies will clear overnight, and we'll enjoy plenty of sunshine on Tuesday! Surface high pressure to our north will kick up a gusty north wind in the Valley, however... look for 10 to 25 mph gusts which will subside Tuesday evening.
Clouds will slowly thicken back up Wednesday, and a few showers are possible in the Siskiyous by Thursday. A new storm will bring everyone showers again by Friday, which will turn to a light rain by Saturday. Another weak storm will push the first one eastward, and bring us additional showers Sunday and Monday. None of these 4 days of wet weather look especially heavy, but after a few days of it the totals should begin to add up. These look like cool storms as well, so snow levels will stay near 4000'... adding to the snowpack in the mountains!
