The sun was out on Friday, and north winds warmed us up nicely. Look for more sun and breezy conditions through the weekend!
Our Friday started foggy in the Sacramento Valley, but it burned off pretty quickly... thanks to a developing north wind. North winds are drying winds for us (they lose their humidity and warm as they descend from the Siskiyous to the Valley), so we really dried out as well. That means no more fog for a while. A dry disturbance from Oregon will drop into California this weekend, and won't bring us rain (or even much cloud cover), but it will keep those north winds going. They may get gusty in the north end of the Valley on Sunday, and temperatures will drop a bit then as well.
The winds will shut down Monday night, and most of next week looks quiet. Clouds will thicken late next week in response to a weak but cool storm from the Gulf of Alaska that should bring us a bit of rain.
