Beautiful weather around the North State on Friday! Saturday looks almost as warm, but Sunday will see a few showers.
High pressure warmed us up nicely on Friday, with many Valley highs in the 70's. We'll cool a little Saturday as high pressure weakens... but it will still be warm and mostly sunny.
A chilly storm from the Gulf of Alaska will swing through the North State on Sunday, bringing us a few showers but not much... probably around 1/10" in the Valley. What this storm lacks in moisture, it makes up for in cold air, however, and that should funnel into the North State by Monday. Snow levels will start around 6000' Sunday but drop to near 4500' by Monday as the cold air pours in. This cold air will be unstable as well, so a few afternoon thunderstorms are possible in the Valley.
Skies will clear Tuesday and a breezy north wind will develop in the Valley. Overnight lows will be chilly next week, but skies look mostly sunny after Monday.
