The Sun Country Quilters are enjoying a big weekend-- and it's all for a good cause.

This weekend people of all ages and all sewing backgrounds got to partake in the 2nd annual quilters retreat.

The event drew in a large crowd for sewing, shoping, and celebrating all of their hard work.

With sewing machines in hand, for the next three days, 85 quilters will be at the Red Bluff Community Center to work on and showcase their newest pieces.

Throughout the year, the guild does a lot to give back to the community.

Their community service projects range from college scholarships to food drives. The quilters make more than 400 quilts for those in need in a year. Recipients include battered women's shelters, orphanages, families that have been displaced because of fires, and the highway patrol.

Quilters of all skill levels are welcome to join, you can sign up on the Sun Country Quilters web page.
