Skies turned mostly cloudy today as high pressure weakened enough to allow moisture into the North State... but still no rain. More cloud cover will arrive off and on over the next few days, but still no rain. It looks like partly cloudy skies on Saturday, and mostly cloudy skies on Monday.
High pressure will make a brief return next week, and the sunshine will return. We should see a light north wind on Tuesday, which will dry us out and allow the low temperatures to drop back close to freezing by the middle of next week.
Long range models are still consistently opening the storm door back up by next weekend, although it's still too early for storm specifics. But it does look like at least a bit of rain will return next weekend.
