Butte County authorities have lifted all evacuation advisories and orders for the Summit Fire south of Oroville.
CAL FIRE is reporting that the wind-whipped fire, which began at 5:30 p.m. Friday, held at 300 acres overnight and is about 60 percent contained.
The fire was reported at 5:30 p.m. Friday at Summit Road and District Center Drive and triggered wide-spread evacustions in the Palermo area.
CAL FIRE has confirmed that at least two homes and two outbuildings have been destroyed. The evacuation center at the Church of the Nazarene is expected to be closed today. Fire Crews are expected to be working in the area through the weekend to monitor the fire-effected area and extinguish any remaining hot spots.
