It was a nice way to start the week, with clouds, cooler temperatures and even a bit of rain across the North State! A weak wave of subtropical moisture slid across northern California on Monday, bringing a few very light showers to us. Most areas in the Valley reported a trace of rain, although Redding reported .03". That band of moisture will continue to move northward, and by Tuesday it's back to sunshine... but not blazing hot temperatures... yet. Upper level low pressure will move into the Pacific Northwest Wednesday, which will prevent high pressure from really dominating us until later this week.
By Thursday, high pressure returns, and by the weekend... it gets strong. We'll also see a light north wind develop, which will squash any kind cooling from the delta breeze, meaning the triple digits will be back!
So... enjoy the relatively mild temperatures we'll see until Thursday.
