The hot weather continued today, but this was the last day of it! A summer storm will bring us much cooler weather tomorrow... and maybe even a little rain!
High temperatures soared to near 100 in the Valley yet again on Friday, but we won't see that kind of heat again for a while. Low pressure off the coast has been pumping clouds into northern California this afternoon, which will keep us very warm overnight. The heart of this storm will move in early Saturday morning, bringing rain to the North Coast, showers to Trinity/Siskiyou counties, and perhaps even a stray shower to the Valley! Any rain in the Valley should be very light, around .01".
Skies will clear Saturday afternoon, but temperatures will be very slow to recover... look for highs in the 80's both Saturday and Sunday.
A series of disturbances moving into the Pacific Northwest next week will keep us fairly cool for early September, mainly 80's. With lows in the 50's, it will feel like October!
