We'll heat up a bit Saturday, then cool right back down on Father's Day... which is also the first day of Summer!
High pressure will fluctuate in strength over the next week, leading to changes in our temperatures. First, it will strengthen Saturday, which will push highs close to 100 in the Valley and near 90 in the mountains. The ridge will then weaken starting Sunday in response to a weak disturbance that will move through the Pacific Northwest. Sunday, Monday and Tuesday all look to have average or slightly below average temperatures.
High pressure is set to really strengthen late next week. If models are correct, their solutions would push Valley temperatures in the 105 to 110 range by Friday! So, enjoy the early week cooldown while we have it.
