The heat was on around the North State today! Look for an even hotter day tomorrow before we slowly cool things back down this weekend.
The remants of hurricane Blanca moved east last night, and high pressure quickly rebuilt over the North State. A light north breeze developed as well, cutting off any cooling from the ocean via the Delta Breeze. Those combined with abundant sunshine today to warm Valley highs up to around 100! As high pressure strengthens tomorrow, we'll see an even hotter afternoon, with Valley highs from 105 to 108. High pressure will weaken after that, and our high temperatures will slowly cool down by next week.
The mountains thunderstorms have finally dried up, and look for things to stay quiet in the mountains through next week. Plenty of sunshine ahead for everyone.
