Chico senior Lindsey Lundberg tries to get the most out of her education. She carries a 3.65 GPA and takes one AP course.
"I'm in AP U.S. Gov't and Ms Hahn is such a fabulous teacher. She makes everything interesting to me and I kind've like the politics side of everything, so I've been enjoying that a lot," said Lundberg.
One of Lundberg's other passions is playing basketball, and the game represents more to her than just having fun.
"At a little age my grandpa has always coached me so it's been kind've a bonding thing for him and I, and I don't know there's something always about picking up the leather ball and just shooting it, i've always loved it," said Lundberg.
This past seasonm Lundberg and the Panthers shot their way to a section title.
What made the experience even more enjoyable was the fact that not many people gave Chico a chance to accomplish the feat.
"Knowing that we were the underdogs we wanted to outdo everyone that we could and prove people wrong and so that was like the funnest thing is to prove everyone kinda wrong and to be with the team we had and even our coach was kind've shocked by it all so it was even better," said Lundberg.
Lundberg ended the year with impressive all-around stats, averaging 11 points, 7 rebounds, and 3 assists-per-contest.
She says she wants to play basketball at the next level but she's still in process determining which college to attend.
With big successes behind her and likely even more achievements ahead of her, Lundberg will forever cherish her time at Chico High.
"All the teachers, they were incredibly nice, and the students here awesome too, so it's just been a great experience positive experience for me," said Lundberg.
