Not many high school basketball players are talented enough to not just play, but start four years at the varsity level.

One such stand-out at Enterprise High School has done just that and each season he's grown considerably on the court.

Three years ago Enterprise coach Mike Haworth decided to pull up a freshman to his varsity team and the rest is history.

"You know the thing about Kaelan for us is, I mean he started for us as a freshman. When you first come in you know there's butting heads and trying to get things the right way and every year he's gotten better and now he's kinda taken the reigns on this team," said Haworth.

That freshman season, Kaelan Crisosto averaged 10 points-per-game, second on the team.

Each year since then he's led the Hornets in scoring, but what he's most proud of is the team's success.

Enterprise is the reigning 2-time Northern Section Division III champions.

"We've had some good teams, last year, we made it to the semi's in Norcal state playoffs, so we've had some fun runs and fun times but we're not done yet," said Crisosto.

"Every year he's gotten better and better. I love the way he plays on the basketball court, his knowledge of the game is just way better than most people playing," said Haworth.

This season, his senior year, Crisosto is completely dialed in, averaging 24 points, 7 rebounds, and 3-and-a-half assists per game.

This past week he scored a career-high 41 points in a victory over Paradise.

But that's not all, Crisosto also carries a 3.7 GPA while balancing 2 AP courses.

"Being a good student is just another part of life, just like sports and that's what we're trying to do, just put together all-around, just be a good person and how you act in the classroom is how you act everywhere else in your life, so it's important to just be at your best everywhere in life," said Crisosto.

Wise words from a young man whose future is shaping up nicely.
