Pleasant Valley senior Dominique Jackson plays basketball and softball, while maintaining a 3.5 GPA.
"When you talk about being a part of the Viking family and somebody that goes out and tries to work the best they can, younger kids should follow her lead," said softball coach Tony Tallerico.
Jackson has received first team All-League honors in softball. She signed a National Letter of Intent to play for Fresno State.
She explained, "I'm so excited I'm shaking, almost couldn't sign my name my hand was shaking so bad. I've always wanted to be a Bulldog, the coaching staff is wonderful and the team is also very good."
Despite her accomplishments in high school, she remains highly motivated to reach an ever greater level of success both academically and athletically
The two-sport star is unsure about what major she would like to pursue in college, although she's leaning towards Communications with an emphasis in sports broadcasting.
