South Korean media say a subway train collision has injured dozens.

A city official in Seoul says a subway train plowed into another train stopped at a station in South Korea's capital today, injuring about 200 people.

Officials say a preliminary investigation suggests the train's automatic distance control system may have malfunctioned.

The reported accident comes as South Koreans criticize the government for regulatory loopholes and lax safety practices they feel led to a ferry sinking April 16 that has left more than 300 mostly high school students dead or missing.
