ATHENS, Greece (AP) - Authorities on the Greek island of Kefalonia are asking people to stay calm following a strong quake that shook the island early today.

Greek scientists put the preliminary magnitude at 5.7. The U.S. Geological Survey registers it at 6.1.

Authorities say about 10 people have been slightly hurt, mainly from falling objects.

News reports show damaged roads and cut power and water some areas. A 5.9-magnitude quake shook the area about a week ago.
