Strong armed robbery in Paradise leads to arrest

One man is behind bars after a strong arm robbery in Paradise.

Sunday around 6 p.m., police got reports of a shoplifter and assault of an employee at the Paradise KMART.

Keenan Andrew Stauss, 33, was attempting to exit the store with items he did not pay for.

When an employee confronted him, Stauss struck the victim several times with his skateboard.

Police responded to his nearby residence moments later where Stauss was barricaded inside a bathroom.

Police arrested him without incident.

He is booked in the butte county jail with bail set at $80,000.
