IQUIQUE, Chile (AP) - Chilean President Michelle Bachelet says she was "evacuated like all citizens" when a 7.6-magnitude aftershock struck the country's far-northern coast late last night.

Bachelet had been assessing damage from Tuesday night's powerful quake that caused six deaths and damaged thousands of homes.

Chilean officials also issued a tsunami alert Wednesday and ordered people to leave low-lying areas.

The evacuation order was lifted a couple hours later.
