Big changes around the North State today as stormy weather has finally returned, and will continue through Friday!
A strong winter storm has rolled into northern California with both wind and rain, and the unsettled weather will continue through Friday. Steady rain tonight will turn to off and on showers Thursday. Colder air will arrive Thursday as well, so snow levels will drop from near 6000' this evening to around 4000' by Thursday. Be prepared for winter driving if you're heading to the mountains! Deep low pressure will cause winds to gust to around 40 mph this evening, while we can expect 30 mph gusts Thursday.
Another storm will move in on Friday with 20 to 30 mph wind gusts, and a brief period of rain. Between now and Friday, the Valley should get 1/2" to 1" of rain!
We'll dry up and skies will turn partly cloudy this weekend. Highs will warm into the upper 60's by Sunday, and 70's on Monday! Another weak storm will bring us a few showers again on Tuesday.
