The weekend storm knocked down trees and power lines all over the North State, but it also helped improve the state's water supply.

Two of the state's largest reservoirs, Lake Oroville and Lake Shasta, still have a long way to go, but Lake Shasta's level has risen 13 feet since Thursday making it 45 percent full.

Lake Oroville rose eight feet and now stands at 43 percent capacity, but Lake Oroville should be at 64 percent full this time of year.
