Storm suspends 2nd-round play at PGA

SHEBOYGAN, Wis. (AP) - A strong storm hit Whistling Straits on Friday afternoon, suspending the second round of the PGA Championship for the day with Australians Jason Day and Matt Jones tied for the lead at 9-under par.

The round was scheduled to resume at 7 a.m. Saturday.

Justin Rose was a shot back with one hole left.

The clubhouse leader was David Lingmerth, who shot a 2-under 70 earlier in the day to head into the weekend at 7-under 137.

Others at 7 under and still on the course when the storm hit were Harris English and Tony Finau.

Jordan Spieth shot 67 and was 6 under for the tournament.

Tiger Woods was at 4 over with five holes to play. The projected cut was 2 over.
