Thursday was another warm day, with bands of high clouds moving through the North State. With somewhat less cloud cover tomorrow, look for our temperatures to warm a bit.
High pressure continues to be strong enough to keep us warm and the storms north of us... but not strong enough to keep some high cloud cover out of our area. These clouds are associated with the remnants of Hurricane Oho, and most of them will move northward tomorrow. We should see mostly sunny skies Friday, which will allow us to warm up a bit. A disturbance moving through the Pacific Northwest this weekend will cool us down just a little... but more warm weather is coming our way next week.
No sign of October rain yet... but it's still early. I do think we're in for a wet winter, because of the very strong El Nino.
