State Department Warns Americans not to Travel to Pakistan

The State Department is warning Americans not to travel to Pakistan and it has evacuated diplomats from Lahore after a threat to the US consulate there. The consulate was already scheduled to be closed through Sunday for the Muslim
holiday of Eid. US officials say the warning in Pakistan is not related to the threat of an al-Qaeda attack in the Arab nation of Yemen. Earlier this week, 19 US diplomatic outposts throughout the Middle East and North Africa were temporarily closed after US intelligence officials intercepted a message from al-Qaeda's top leader about plans for a major attack.
