Sunny, and hot conditions are ahead for your Friday forecast. Temperatures will fall by a couple of degrees this afternoon, but are projected to stay above average over the next couple of days. Valley locations are starting out much cooler than 24 hours ago, with high 50's to low 60's in most cities. Mountain areas are starting out Friday morning with very similar temperatures to yesterdays, and are mainly in the high 30's to mid 40's.
Temperatures are expected to be hot again this afternoon, and will climb into the 94 to 99 degree range for the valley. The Northern Sierra will have temperatures climbing into the mid 80's to low 90's, and the Northern Mountains will have highs in the high 80's to mid 90's. Winds are expected to be much lighter than yesterday, and that will help the fire danger drop for the north state. Winds will be light to around 10mph out of the North in the valley, and out of the Northeast to around 15mph in the mountains.
Slightly cooler temperatures will return to the region by Monday, but dry weather looks to continue into your extended forecast. I hope everyone has a fantastic Friday, and a wonderful weekend!
