Partly to mostly cloudy skies, slightly warmer temperatures, and a lingering chance of showers are ahead for your Friday forecast. The best chance for showers will be in the Sierra and Cascades. Snow levels are around 6500 feet, but a mix of rain and snow has drifted a little lower this morning. Temperatures are starting out in the high 40's to mid 50's in the valley, and in the high 30's to mid 40's in the mountains. Afternoon high temperatures are expected to climb into the low to mid 70's in the valley, and mountain areas will end up in the mid 50's to mid 60's later today. Winds will be out of the South from 10 to 15mph.
Temperatures will increase by a couple of degrees this weekend, but the partly cloudy skies will linger. There will be a small chance of some showers in the Sierra this weekend. A new system will approach the West Coast on Saturday night, and could bring the chance of showers to the Northern Mountains. A better chance of showers will arrive in the region on Sunday, and last through Monday. Mountain showers will be possible into the middle of next week. The warming trend will continue into the latter part of next week. I hope everyone has a fantastic Friday, and a wonderful weekend.
