The Shasta County Bomb Squad has removed potentially explosive devices found in a bathroom of the Anderson Walmart.

Anderson Police were called to the Walmart around 9 p.m. Tuesday when someone found what was described as suspicious device in the rear bathroom of the store.

Anderson Fire crews entered the bathroom wearing air packs and took photos of the items. After examining the photos, police realized the suspicious device was an explosive that had been created using chemicals, aluminum foil and soda bottles.

Police called in the Shasta County Bomb Squad, and they removed the devices using a robot.

An investigation into how the devices ended up in the Walmart bathroom is being conducted by the Anderson Police Department and Fire Department.
