"Small Town, Big Sound" comes to The Big Room Sunday

The "Uncle Dad's Art Collective" presents "Small Town, Big Sound" at the Sierra Nevada Big Room this Sunday, July 12th.
The show will shine a spotlight on local songwriters and their songs, which are arranged and performed by the Uncle Dad Orchestra. A total of 40 musicians will take part, from all types of musical genres.
Songwriters include Doug Stein, Aubrey DeBauchery, Kyle Williams, Nolan Ford, Peter Berkow, Ali Battaglia, Jack Knight, Himp C, Marcel Daguerre, Hannah Jane Kile, Maurice "Big Mo" Huffman and many more.
The songs were chosen via online submissions. 21 made it to the final list based on originality, quality, and how well they could be translated to a large ensemble.
The instrumentation will include a rhythm section, a string section, a horn section as well as vocalists.
The doors will open at 1pm and the show will begin promptly at 2pm. Admission is $15. Advance tickets are on sale at www.sierranevada.com and at the Sierra Nevada Gift Shop.
