IRVINE, Calif. (AP) - A small plane has made an emergency landing in an Orange County park after experiencing engine trouble.

Authorities say the Evektor SportStar carrying an instructor and student flew out of John Wayne Airport Saturday.

Irvine police spokeswoman Farrah Emami tells the Orange County Register the plane landed in the southeast section of Great Park, which used to be a Marine air base.

There are no injuries and no damage reported.
