Today was the hottest day of the year for us... so far. Look for the cooldown to begin tomorrow, although it will be a slow cooldown.
With strong high pressure overhead, plenty of sunshine, and a light north breeze cutting off any cooling from the ocean, it turned into a scorcher around the North State. Valley highs ranged from 105 to 110! High pressure will begin to weaken starting tomorrow, and we'll start to get a delta breeze flowing as well. High temperatures should return to near normal readings by next week. No thunderstorms in the mountains today, and there shouldn't be any developing any time soon.
