A sleepy driver who killed a paradise woman in a highway 99 head-on crash two years ago has been sentenced in Butte County Court, Butte County DA Mike Ramsey announced Thursday.

38-year-old Angelo Vincent of Marysville was sentenced to 90 days in county jail and three years formal probation.

Vincent was driving a truck, hauling a heavy trailer, when he fell asleep at the wheel crashing into a car head-on killing the driver Jane Rogers.

Ramsey said this case serves as a warning that sleepy driving can have the same tragic consequences as drunk driving.
