'Sin in the Sagebrush' Coming to Turtle Bay

The Wild West is coming to Redding, with a new exhibit at Turtle Bay.

"Sin in the Sagebrush" explores how those men who came to the Western frontier at the turn of the century tried to create a community for themselves.

"You don't hear about how everyday people lived and died. You tend to hear a little more about the people that wrote the history rather than the people who lived it. And this is a way to learn a lot about people who served the people who were extracting resources out of the ground here in the North State," said Julia Pennington Cronin, Curator of Collections and Exhibits.

"Sin in the Sagebrush" is open to the public starting Wednesday at Turtle Bay, and will run until February 9th.

The Park will also be opening another Western themed exhibit on Friday.

"Tough By Nature" will feature artist Lynda Lanker's portraits of cowgirls and ranch women.
