An Olympic silver medalist stopped by Sports LTD in Chico Thursday night to share with fans an amazing story. Manteo Mitchell, a world renonwed sprinter, made international headlines in the London 2012 Olympic Games, when he broke his fibula during his leg of the semifinals 4x400 meter relay. Mitchell was somehow able to finish that 400 though and help the United States ultimately win the silver medal. After that freak accident he signed an endorsement deal with Chico based Incrediwear, a company that produces athletic apparell which increases blood flow and reduces discomfort to various areas of the body. Incrediwear representatives said Mitchell now wears an Incrediwear calf sleeve to help relieve some of his soreness. Thursday night Mitchell was happy to share his story, but said he was really looking forward to Friday, when he would be running a clinic and giving a motivational speech for the Chico State Track team.
