The Silver Alert issued by the California Highway Patrol Monday has been canceled after an 82-year-old woman arrived in Rogue River, Oregon safely.

The Silver Alert was issued after June Smith was traveling from Garden Valley to Rogue River, but failed to arrive as expected last Friday.

A spokesperson for the Red Cross tells Action News Now Smith had become lost on the drive and had no idea anyone was looking for her. She reportedly became embarrassed about being lost and did not answer her phone, hoping she could arrive home before anyone noticed she was missing.
