Wet weather returned to the North State today, but it won't last long. A big warmup is coming soon!
Another weak storm has moved into northern California, bringing Valley rain & mountain snow. Snow levels are low, but a little higher than they were Tuesday morning (when snow fell on the Ridge!) Although this storm is weak, bring your chains or 4WD vehicles if you're going to be driving in the mountains overnight... roads are getting slippery!
This storm will move through tonight, and by tomorrow we should be dry. Clouds should clear through the day. Weak storms will continue brushing us, so we'll continue to see a mix of sun and clouds through Saturday. However, rain will stay north of us. As high pressure strengthens, Valley highs will warm into the 60's by Saturday.
High pressure really gains strength after that, and our temperatures will take off. Look for Valley highs near 70 by Superbowl Sunday, and we should reach the low 70's early next week with plenty of sunshine.
Long range models are trying to break high pressure down late next week, and bring a storm back on in then.
