Mostly cloudy skies, and cooler temperatures are ahead in your Wednesday forecast. Temperatures are starting out in the low to mid 50's for the valley, and low to mid 40's for most mountain areas. High temperatures will only be climbing into the low to mid 60's in the valley, and mountain areas will range in the high 40's to low 60's this afternoon. Winds are expected to be light throughout the day, but will pick up slightly tomorrow. The region should stay dry through the afternoon, with the exception of a slight chance of showers ahead for the Northern Mountains late this afternoon.
Showers will return to the entire north state tonight, and linger into your Thursday forecast. There will be a chance of showers extending into Saturday for the far northern zones, and higher elevations. Valley locations will dry out by Thursday afternoon. The next chance for wet weather will return on Monday night, and last through next Thursday. That system ahead for next week looks more impressive than the one that's expected to land tonight. I hope everyone gets those umbrella's handy in time for tonight, and has a wonderful Wednesday!
