Mostly sunny skies, and warmer temperatures are ahead for your Friday! Fog is an issue for drivers heading through Trinity County this morning, but that is not having much on an impact for the rest of the region for the start of your Friday. Temperatures are starting out a little bit warmer this morning. Valley areas have only dipped into the high 30's to low 40's overnight, and mountain areas are in the mid 20's for the Sierra, and high 30's in the Northern Mountains. Afternoon high temperatures are projected to climb into the mid 60's to low 70's for the valley, and mountain areas will range from the mid 50's to mid 60's this afternoon. Winds will be modest, and are only expected to be up to around 10mph out of the North.
Clouds will spread through the north state on Saturday, and temperatures will be a degree or two cooler than this afternoon. The potential for showers will arrive in the Northern Mountains on Saturday evening, and will then spread across the entire north state by late in the morning on Sunday. Temperatures will be much cooler on Sunday, and will top out in the mid to high 50's in the valley. Snow levels will drop to 3500 feet by Sunday afternoon. The potential for showers will linger on Monday, but is expected to be much lighter than Sunday. Cloudy skies will linger into the middle of next week, and a chance for light showers will continue into Wednesday. Temperatures will warm back into the mid to high 60's on Tuesday into Wednesday. I hope everyone enjoys the warmer temperatures ahead for your Friday, and is ready for the rain this weekend! Have a fantastic Friday!
