Mostly clear skies in the morning, mostly cloudy skies in the afternoon, and the potential for afternoon showers are ahead for the north state. Temperatures are starting out in the high 30's to mid 40's in the valley, and in the high teens to mid 30's in the mountains. Afternoon high temperatures are projected to climb into the high 50's to low 60's in the valley, and into the mid to high 40's in the mountains. Showers will approach the Coastal Range this morning, and will spread into the Northern Mountains by noon. The potential for showers will then spread through the region later today. Amounts do not look very impressive for today, and tomorrow. Valley areas will more than likely see between a tenth to three tenths of an inch of rain through tomorrow. Winds are projected to be up to around 10mph out of the North.
More showers will be ahead for your Wednesday. Temperatures will start out much warmer than today, but high temperatures will only rise by about a degree or two. Heavier precipitation will return to the region on Thursday, and the potential for heavy rain and snow will continue through the weekend. Snow levels will fluctuate between 4000' to 6000' this weekend. Temperatures will not change much over the next week. Valley high temperatures will continue to range in the high 50's to low 60's, and mountain areas will mostly stay in the mid to high 40's.
I hope everyone is ready for more wet weather to return to the north state, and has a great Tuesday!
