It was another mild and nice day across the North State, with scattered showers and thunderstorms in the mountains. Look for cloudier and possibly wetter weather on Thursday!
Low pressure is dropping south from the north Pacific, and by Thursday should be off the California coast. This low will pump plenty of moisture into California which should give us a few showers (and maybe a thunderstorm) in the Valley... and plenty of showers/T-Storms in the mountains. Look for temperatures to cool a bit. The snow level could get down to near 5000'!
The low will move into southern California on Friday, but we should still see a few scattered showers in the Valley and numerous showers in the mountains. By Saturday, the low will be well east of us, and the Valley will dry out and warm up. Scattered showers/thunderstorms will continue in the mountains through most of next week, however! Temperatures will warm to near average for this time of year by the weekend, and continue that way into next week. No serious heat in sight!
